素晴しい新世界 (Subarashii Shin Sekai) (in English, "Brave New World")
by 古代祐三 (Yuzo Koshiro) (vocals by flair)

Subarashii Shin Sekai is the opening theme to Namco x Capcom (pronounced "Namco Cross Capcom"), a Japan-only crossover strategy RPG for the PS2 by MonolithSoft (makers of Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos). It was published by Namco and features a lot of flagship characters from many Namco and Capcom franchises, many of which are featured in the video (it is kind of akin to the Super Robot Wars series, although most of those are also Japan only) The opening song is really cool, so I thought I'd step it. You can read about Namco x Capcom or Yuzo Koshiro at Wikipedia:

The full version of the song was nearly 2 and a half minutes long and included a pretty unsteppable slow part in the middle and two repetitions of the chorus, so I cut the slow part and one chorus to bring it down to more like 1:30, a much better DDR length. I did have to cut a lot of cool stuff from the video unfortunately, but gameplay comes first. You can watch the full video here (I recommend it):

For the file I tried to keep Heavy from becoming too generic, with some use of jumps and freezes. For Standard I tried my best to not make it a 6, thus using 8ths more sparingly than I usually do. Light and Beginner are Light and Beginner.

I put "#LASTBEAT:228;" in the SM file so that Stepmania will wait until the video concludes before going to the result screen. If you save this file in the editor for any reason (or maybe even if you so much as autosync it) Stepmania will automatically remove that line, because it is a pain. Please remember to add it back yourself if you do need to save (or autosync?) the file.

Graphics were taken from screencaps of the movie, video banner is from the movie, etc. One alternate banner is also included if you like it better. Sorry, this is a pretty last-minute file so I am going to cut the readme short here! Hope you enjoy it.
